Did you just give me a whuppin', poody? OUCH, girl!!!!! I swear I'll never get into flood water again! Please don't whup me no more! (Picture me hanging my head in shame...) (Or running like hell, which is usually what I always did if I thought I was gonna get a whuppin', heh!)
(But I admit that I do feel like a dang fool!!!)
I'm still mad at the Adult Protective Services, though. At one time I worked in Austin for a couple of years and I swear, just getting them on the phone was IMPOSSIBLE. I once waited an hour and half on hold. Then, when working in Dallas and here in Podunk, no matter how many times I've notified them, they've never done a dang thing to change a dangerous situation. They always come back and say: "The person was in 'their right mind' and so there was nothing we could do"....aaarrrrgh!!
