Weekends are too Short

I have been absent from the blogging world for a long time now. What happened is I switched internet service from AT&T to Road Runner with the cable so for some unknown reason I went withoout internet and phone service for 3 weeks. Now we have digital phone service and high speed internet! Whoo hoo! I have been busy with work as well. But still loving it compared to any other job I ever had...I mean at the end of the day, it is all only just work,isn't it?

My childhood friend,Connie, came to visit this weekend. She and I went along with one of the clits,Jan to Wimberly for Market day. We got out there early enought to beat the crowd and did pretty good at bargain hunting and getting. I also love all the free samples of food to be had from the venders selling their wares.I only purchased a mandevilla plant for the back yard.

Then we went to a birthday party for another clit, Lois. I tried to get her a coca-cola cake for the occasion but the place I usually get it from says they no longer make them! What! Why? So, if anyone out there has the recipe for one let me know. I can make one next year. This year she got a pecan fudge pie from the Wimberly Pie Company. Yummy as it sounds too! I was not being a good dieter this weekend!

Not much excitement around here to speak of We had a burn party a couple of weeks ago. That is when the girls all get together and burn all our shred stuff. Linda, my rommate cousin, made fajitas for the lot of us and we sat around eating and drinking booze, and burning stuff. I know it sounds so exciting but it was a lot of fun.

My knees have been feeling better the last week for a change but after yesterday I was feeling all beat up again but then again I did walk around for over 2 hours!
I can lo longer take NSAIDS at all. Like Advil,Aleeve,etc. I already was unable to take tylenol due to the Hepatitis I got from a needle stick. So, now I am down to Aspirin. And maybe it is working better than the other stuff or maybe it is the warm weather or the weight I have lost or a combonation of all of it. Who knows?
